Wednesday Evening
Last Wednesday (5-14-08) Bible study & prayer time found us intrigued at the wisdom of God. Paul in I Corin. 1:18-31 presents how God’s plan of salvation is not through human wisdom, but “Christ crucified” ((v. 23). God’s gracious plan of salvation is accomplished in lieu of our own efforts and wisdom so He alone gets the glory (v. 20). Oh what a glorious thought–God has called (v. 26) me and saved me! What a blessing! (v. 31) Since God only uses the message of the cross, which alone has power to save (1:18, 21), our calling is to be true to that message (2:1-5) This is our commitment at MCC! Hope to see you next Wednesday as we look at I Corin. 2:6-16
